Not another bookmarking app… just something I'll actually use

Hey everyone đź‘‹

I’ve been quietly working on a small side project called StashSync.App

It started from a pretty simple (and honestly annoying) problem:
I keep saving links everywhere… bookmarks, notes, random tabs, even sending stuff to myself and still can't find things later.

So I built something for myself first.

What it does (in simple terms):
A lightweight way to save, organize, and sync things you find online — without the usual clutter or friction.

I’m trying to keep it:

  • fast (no heavy UI or distractions)
  • simple (no overthinking folders/tags)
  • actually usable daily (not just something that looks nice but gets abandoned)

There are already tools in this space (like Raindrop, Notion, etc.), so I’m not trying to reinvent everything, just focusing on making something I personally won't stop using.

Current stage:

  • Still early
  • Still changing things a lot
  • Probably has rough edges
  • Browser extension is currently in development

I haven’t done any real marketing yet, just putting it out there to see if anyone else has the same problem.

If you’ve built or used similar tools, I’d genuinely appreciate:

  • what you think is missing
  • what would make you switch (or not)
  • or even why this idea might not work at all

No pressure to sign up, even feedback alone helps a lot.

Thanks for reading 🙏

This is a real problem, but the space is crowded because everyone describes it the same way — “save, organize, sync”.
When I read this, it still feels like a better version of existing tools, not a different mental category.
The interesting part is actually the behavior you described: saving things everywhere and not being able to retrieve them when it matters.
That’s less about bookmarking and more about recall.
If that angle isn’t obvious upfront, most people won’t feel a strong reason to switch.
Also, StashSync sounds functional but a bit generic for something you want people to use daily. Tools like this rely heavily on how they’re framed and remembered.
What’s the one moment where this clearly beats something like Notion or Raindrop?
