Not appropiate subreddit. Any tips here?

Hi Indies,

I am working in a project for people to find jobs within the Green Economy area, and I started by the idea validation.

I read a few articles and listened to a few podcast where they used Reddit for validatin the idea, adding a mailing list.

I did that, and got labelled as "not appropiate subreddit".

Does anyone have any feedback for me? Do you think it was spammy?
