As written about in many many places, the zero-to-one or nothing-to-something phase of a company is often the hardest. Where do we start? How do we get this plane off the ground? I'd like to give some encouragement: start today! Whether with no-code or code or wireframing - get started today! To share some learnings, below are 104 of our learnings in the 104 days from signing up for a no-code tool to launching on Product Hunt. I hope this gives some encouragement to other builders out there!
Love the tweet style bullet points. Make it way easier to read. how much thought went into using Adalo vs other tools?
@aaroncbailey we did some experimentation with other tools (namely Bubble) before choosing Adalo. Adalo was super easy to get started with, and frankly, we liked the community they are building, the communication from their leadership team, and the continued integrations they are building. As with most tool selection, we know way more now than we did 3-4 months ago when we started this journey. I think we still would pick Adalo, but may do some more exploring if we were to do it all over again. The reality is now we are pretty platform-locked with Adalo, which isn't a bad thing, but is a reality we are aware of. Make sense?
Ya, it's good feedback. Any issues you foresee down the road that may force you to migrate off the platform?
Biggest issue would be platform performance, either for users (such as a slow experience) or us as builders (slow building or limited integrations). Adalo has been vocal about how this is a priority for them so we are respecting that and hopeful for what they continue to build.
