🧑💻 Notion App → UTM Generator
Hi peeps,
I'm challenging myself with a UTM generator in notion (notion.so), that allows for automatic link generation, so everyone in our team can create UTM's.
I have built one already in google sheets (based on one that I've found recently) and was wondering if someone would be interested to team up and make a nice template in notion which we would give back to the IH community.

Our team actually went through a very similar journey. We started out managing all our campaign links in giant Google Sheets and Excel files, and we also briefly considered moving it all to Notion to make it more collaborative.
What we eventually found was that as the team grew, keeping the naming conventions strict (like preventing someone from typing "FB" instead of "facebook") became a huge headache. We ended up switching our whole workflow over to utmmind because it handles all those strict guardrails and team collaboration right out of the box, saving us a lot of time.
That being said, I still think a Notion template is a fantastic idea for solo founders and smaller projects! If you are building it, one quick tip: definitely use 'Select' properties for the UTM parameters instead of plain text fields. It will save the users from a massive data-cleaning nightmare later.

I've played around with notion quite a lot but tbh I did not understand what you want to do!
You have a table and from there you want to combine the fields to generate the URL+UTM string?
Also, the spreadsheet link doesn't seem to work
Hi, thanks for you message. The link works fine on my end, it's set to anyone with the link can edit. Yes you have 5 columns with data (utm_source, utm_medium …) and from these entries I'd like to create a string → I'm almost there but seem to miss a trick.
It'll look like this for instance:
