Notion Pages on Custom Domains!

Hi All!

Here's an update on our no-code tool to host public Notion pages on your custom domain! This has been a common feature request so we built a solution ourselves. It also doubles your Google PageSpeed Insights score!

Thanks to feedback from @visualdev, @nojvek, @rosiesherry and others, we've dropped our price to 10 USD/month. And first month is free.

Check it out: www.hostingpotion.com

Cool idea! This could be a great solution for docs or blogs for MVPs. I use notion as my general note taking resource and so if I could turn a working notebook into rough docs/ set of how to blogs super fast it would be interesting!

Would love to know a bit more about how this all perform SEO wise too, out of interest.

Also off the top of my head I wonder whether using an auth service could open up a range of other use cases. E.g. you want to share a private knowledge base but your audience don't have notion. If you could control all that easily with an easily integrated Auth then it might be easier for your audience to do it via email. Of course I'm sure notion would rather they all sign up to notion and you do it through them, but if you want a read only audience I can see how that's probably not ideal... Anyway, that's not a very well formed idea...

    Either way, great work!

      Thanks!

We are working on improving SEO. Our plan is to allow users to add custom HTML to the <head> of pages, so they could provide metadata to improve SEO. Further SEO features are coming for sure!

That's an interesting thought on auth! Could be a future possibility.

This is super awesome. I was looking to see if there were any details on how SEO works when using Notion as e.g. a blog, but couldn't find anything. Have you guys looked into this?

Thanks! Improving SEO is definitely a top priority. As a first step we will soon allow users to provide custom HTML, so that could include metadata like title, description, etc to improve SEO.

Hi, Came through Google cuz I have been wondering about this idea in my head for a while (I am already occupied with long term commitments so couldn't pursue).

Anyway, how is it going with the project? Curious to know whether the project has been validated to be a decent idea/product in itself.

So glad I went searching for this because I did not see this post initially. I linked to your original domain in an article and noticed that it was 💀

Congrats on shipping this new version! Did you discontinue the HTML iframe embed potion?

I will just point out that the Notion Reddit sub has enjoyed many discussions on how to turn Notion pages into public blog posts. I was just searching hard for the solution the other day. In case, you have not thought of doing some marketing there. Great job and congrats!

This is really what's missing! Notion became one of the core tools of my life. Ditched many others to unite in one roof, for note taking to product planning and habit tracking. I share pages with my clients, researches and mood boards, that would be great to share them through my own domain. But thinking about the price :/ I pay Medium 5$ and read each day, DigitalOcean's starter droplet is 5$ you can host couple of websites. I value the service you created and from the development side I'm sure that there were challenges and still on-going work, for better always. 10 bucks a month, with Notion monthly 5, a total 15$. Also, the problem is too many services/tools adding up to monthly expenses, this is what happens more people making great products! 😑
