Notion Templates as a Product? Have you sold any? 📰

As a content creator in architecture, I've found using Notion extremely helpful with not only content creation but also the day to day architecture tasks.

I was thinking of creating a custom template for my niche but was wondering if it's possible or if anyone has tried selling Notion templates?

What I’m finding out is that most templates will go for free and as mentioned below a very good way to build email list. The bottom line is that your name needs to be noticed a little more, that continued publishing of templates is the only way to go. I am on the road to following one of my Notion guru heroes. Not sure if I’m allowed to mention name here but, let’s just call him Mr. P. That’s what brings me here, I’m following his directions in various templates to the letter, and I might suggest the same for anyone else starting out, latch onto a successful creator, and pay attention, especially to you the hard lessons they learned along the way. Regardless, it’s been a journey and I am enjoying the heck out of working with Notion templates.

That's awesome. I was an Architecture student and would have loved this!

Nice!! The biggest struggle for me and others while in architecture school was time management and I've found that Notion has really helped me with that and more. I just figured I'd try and create more resources for those in the same boat as I was. What's your podcast? I'd love to give it a listen.

Great work Joseph! I'm working on a notion template myself. Have you tried the time blocking method to complete tasks?

Yes you should. Even if you don't sell it, a free template makes a GREAT lead magnet for building a newsletter or booking a call. I'm working on a google sheets tutorials product and know that google sheets is way way way bigger than Notion, but Notion users are devout and early. You can create a lot of goodwill and usefulness in notion by creating templates. Very very good thing to do.

Let me know how it goes and if you can do something in a Notion template that google sheet can't, I'm more than happy to promote it to my network.

Also happy to build a google sheet template besides you to offer to both of our networks. Template for X, in Notion AND Google Sheets. Might be a fun bundle to try to sell.

Andrew, thanks for your feedback! I've started on a free version of my template idea but I've also planned out some content to create which will hopefully push my audience to downloading Notion and then using my templates. You're totally right about it being a great lead magnet, I'll keep you updated on that journey!

Your Google Sheets work sounds really cool, I'll keep you in mind in case I see something that can be done better in Sheets! I appreciate your time and feedback!

    Hello Joseph,
I sell notion templates. Depending on your experience and field, you can either sell templates or customize them for any subject or content.

My best advice to you in this thread is to do a UI/UX study based on your own usage. It should be easy to use and beautiful in design. You can then share it with your friends and acquaintances to duplicate it their own space.

You should definitely do it I know of people who made upwards of $5k from templates sales.

No way?! I figured it would be like a $5 product max, I didn't realize how lucrative it can be!
