Here's an update on our progress building the "Capterra for online business courses."
Previous updates:
Progress through October 2021:
📝 206 submitted reviews
✅ 146 published reviews (71%)
❌ 60 rejected reviews (29%)
💰 $1,530 donated to CAMFED
👩🏾🏫 = an entire year of schooling for 10 girls
(We reject reviews that lack useful insight or that we consider untrustworthy, and donate $10 to CAMFED for each published review.)
During October we were mostly collecting reviews of popular affiliate marketing courses and Amazon FBA courses.
Our most "complete" review so far: The Affiliate Lab Review
That's been our average pace for the past 3 months.
Not bad, but not great either.
Much of our work is trying to find students of select courses and then reaching out to them, requesting that they leave a review.
Doing this manually takes a long time, but recently we've found a way to semi-automate the process. Too early to tell if this will result in many more reviews, but it looks promising so far.
To figure out which courses to review on our site, we're taking a "lean SEO" approach and publishing short stub reviews of many courses. We then leave them for 30 days and see how much organic traffic each URL picks up.
If a URL picks up enough traffic, we prioritize it for student outreach and an in-depth editorial review.
Thanks for reading!
