Nowadays people only read titles on IH or what?😂
I don't really appreciate people who don't only read the title and disagree with something that I obviously agree with them.
Days ago I had this article here called "feedbacks from non-users are worthless"https://www.indiehackers.com/post/feedbacks-from-non-users-are-worthless-8178956209, but that was because I cannot fit everything into a title so I chose to put the most important thing.
I got a lot of good comments, I loved it. I also got some people who doesn't read the article but only the title. It was a short one, 60 sec read. I clearly pointed out:
"I have to say I still value information from non-users if they have the problem that I am solving. Let's be real, no one started their project with 100 users, you need to talk to people. But non-users with absolutely no problem in the problem you are solving? I don't see how that will work out. It all ended up pretty bad in my experience."!!!
YET, so many people came to me and say stuff like: oh non-users are important, I disagree with your approach. There is nothing you can do in this situation if people don't read it, you can only recite this paragraph again and again just to let them know that was my opinion as well.
I wrote this one becasue I believe those people wouldn't read thru, and if you made it here. Congrat, you are probably already above average in learning!!!
You're never going to please everyone.
In my opinion, it's much more disappointing if you post something and nobody cares enough to write a comment. At least when people are posting comments, good or bad, you've hit on something worth talking about.
As with anything you read on the internet you should always take it with a grain of salt. Advice is generally subjective and what works for some people won't necessarily work in your situation.

That's a good lesson in writing on the internet — most people are only going to read the title no matter how short your article is, and of those who continue most of them are only going to read the first paragraph or so.
I know people skim stuff, but people shoot out comments that make no sense is kind of a bad practice IMO. But what it is is what it is. I can change it lol so i need to get used to it
One other thing you can try is making your title less sensationalized. E.g. if your post isn’t actually saying something is worthless then don’t make the title “This Thing is WORTHLESS”
