Fellow indie hackers,
Last Monday, I finally published my new ongoing project in PH. After gathering a few emails (120+), I'm almost ready to open it to the public; even though it's not a super big audience, I rather begin a real world testing soon, than keep on waiting forever and not releasing it.
The problem is that I find myself undecided about how to pick the right pricing options that I'll be offering. The product is a desktop App that connects to openAI's API to bring you both chatGPT and DALLE to your desktop, so I know how much it will cost to me, and how much I want to earn on top of that. However, I'm not sure if I should offer a single pricing option, allow users to pick between three tiers, etc.
Should I keep pricing options simple?
Should I offer different options even if it complicates things?
What would work best? Is there any psychology behind this?
And more important, what do you usually do in these cases?
Thanks!
