Offering trial credit as opposed to free trial

Hey guys!

Today i've moved my product, hyper host from offering a free trial for two reasons;

1. When i run free trials i attract spam and phishing sites which incurs a lot of extra work for me.

2. I find that the quality of the signups drops significantly (e.g how likely they are to continue), i also get loads of duplicate signups with multiple different emails for some reason.

Anyone else have any ideas or feedback on this? Keen to find out! Im now offering $25 of trial credit which is redeemed when you add your payment card.
