Vincent Woo, founder of CoderPad ($330k/mo), is holding #office-hours with several indie hackers looking for help with their businesses:
My favorite quotes:
"Your goal is to be healthy and happy. The business will proceed at whatever pace the business proceeds at. You can burn yourself to try to go a bit faster, but in the grand scheme of things how much is it going to matter? The advantage of bootstrapping is that you can afford to go much slower than a venture-backed corporation would. I see bootstrappers pulling insane hours for no particular reason. When you work really hard, you don't really accelerate your development by that much."
"The goal is to figure out the customers' problems, narrow down their problems into the exact set of things you address, explain how you fucking destroy those problems, and then say this is the price."
The recording is in the post now!

Thanks for recording this and it helps the community. There is this same sort of thing going on here https://1m1m.sramanamitra.com/free-public-roundtables/ .. I have a good SaaS startup and accidentally ended up with second while helping my wife. We need to do this in private and can't use these formats (sad!). As what we are building is seriously very big opportunities. As you know execution is everything and it is a struggle when you are bootstrapped. We need a solid foothold in our space before we let competitors see how we execute. How we execute can be a game changer. And VC funded startups can throw big money at this when they know what we are doing. So far in my space, we have three main competitors some reaching 250,000 users a month. Even so they have frustrated their VC's so much, in one case they were forced to sell out. So the VC's got their money back. Our market is 22 million, and all this tells us is a failure to execute on their part. You can operate in stealth if you have one on one conversations with your customers. And how you get customers is the secret sauce. We are happy to share with the community AFTER we get a foothold in the market.
this was very enjoyable!
Love this video thing! 👍
Love these videos. Not related to my industry but feel like I'm leveling up just listening to them

Very cool. I'd love to watch, but it's getting late in Europe. Will there be a recording?
