For those who offer on-demand services and manage a large team of offshore employees/contractors - would it be useful if there was a tool to help you manage your workforce, and help you allocate your team to clients/projects in a streamlined way?
One of the most painful things I've faced recently is getting lots of on-demand web development work, and having to bring together different sets of contractors to execute my projects (illustrators, UX designers, frontend devs, backend devs, etc.). I wish I had something that would show me the time/work allocations of my team and automatically suggest people who are not busy, that I should ping to take on the incoming projects.
I also wish I could tag my team by their roles/specialties, so that when I triage a new project, I can quickly filter for a shortlist of people specialized to take on that project.
With a tool like this, I feel like I could manage incoming on-demand projects with much less stress.
I'm wondering if this pain point resonates with anyone else here. If so, I'd love your feedback, as I'm working on this tool to streamline my own agency, and I'm wondering if there's a more generalized solution that could be applied to other agencies as well.
I think something like a chatbot would be good for this use case. You can set up automations and feed it data from something like a notion doc which updates their skills and attributions.
