On domain names: what would you choose?
hi everyone, I'm starting a new blog about frontend development.
The name of the blog is The Frontend Team.
Now, thefrontendteam.com was available, but frontendteam.com (without "the") was not.
frontendteam.dev and frontendteam.io were available too.
So the question is: what's better between a .com with "the" in front of it and .dev without the "the"?
In terms of SEO, brand, marketing... what would you choose?
Since your blog starts with "The" then pick the .com one
thanks Ali. I put The in front of the name, but this can change if there are reasons to do so. I remember Facebook was once The Facebook. I don't have the same ambitions here :-), but I'd like to understand what others would have done and why
If you want it to be short use the others, especially if your target audience doesn't mind using .io and .dev and don have a problem remembering that.
But if you think your target audience needs the .com then buy that one.
