When users sign up, I'm trying an onboarding checklist. It gives them more trial days for completing key tasks.
They're tasks that lead to the 'Aha' moment.
Have you used anything similar? Anything that really helped users adopt your product?
Adding this gamified onboard task list is great. Are these 3 steps, the most important steps to get to the aha moment?
I don't understand "What signals you get from me, so I can book more meetings"
Maybe I don't have 50 accounts? Is that a problem?
One thing I'm missing here is customer education about your service. In the beginning, the ui/ux might not be as good as it needs to be. You could extend the trial by having your customer watch a couple how-to videos of your app. And receive a badge.
What is the biggest thing you are daring to give away? 2 months free service? Perhaps that might convince more customers to take the feedback call. It also feels a bit forced. You could turn it around. "Still have questions about our service? No problem, we are here to help. Schedule a call and we'll take all the time you need to get fully up and running. Here are 7 days extra, to compensate for you having to wait. " Or something like that.
Cheers,
hey! thanks, yes they're the 3 most important I'm seeing so far.
this is a tool for professional sales reps. They upload their account lists and get daily signals of important things happening at prospective companies so they can reach out in a relevant way.
From experience, if you don't have 50+ sales accounts assigned to you, this tool is likely not a fit. Most reps in my field hold 50 - 250 accounts at any given time.
I did just make a 1min demo - could totally put that on the checklist!
And I like the idea about that call. Thank you!
So you scrape blogs and related social account etc?
Check, sound like a great way to select your target audience. What I meant though is this really what you need for the earliest onboarding. You might want to ease into it. Are your users comfortable uploading 50 - 250 prospects?
Maybe my reply here https://www.indiehackers.com/post/ask-ih-pre-populated-data-vs-wizard-562240414d?commentId=-MrN1bYLXDByDFcdVq-u also adds some insights into onboarding.
Cheers,
We include some onboarding after sign-up that helps users get a basic version of their profile up, using something like a Typeform.
After the basics, it's up to users to do whatever they want with their profile. I believe there's a modal that comes up after users first visit their profile asking them to refer their friends, but that might not be out in production.
Go to lucidchart, create a swimlane chart. Use workflow software to structure the actual process. If you are cheap, use a help desk ticket system and chronological notes, tasks, events, in order to keep track of it.
