Building a great product does not guarantee visibility.
As founders, we often believe:
“If I build something genuinely valuable, people will naturally find it.”
But the internet doesn’t work that way.
The reality is:
Discovery is a system.
And most early-stage startups struggle because they focus heavily on building the product but underestimate the work required to build visibility around it.
Over the last few weeks building Aura++, I’ve been thinking a lot about what actually helps startups get discovered.
It usually comes down to 3 things:
Consistent visibility
Showing up repeatedly, not just on launch day
Strong digital presence
Creating trust the moment someone discovers you
Momentum loops
Turning attention into sustained growth instead of one-time spikes
That’s exactly why I’m building Aura++.
Not just to help startups “launch.”
But to help founders create discoverability that compounds over time.
Curious to hear from other founders here:
What’s something you underestimated when launching your startup?
For me, it was how hard distribution is compared to building.
