One of the best things about putting something online
One of my favorite things about a putting something online is to see all these dots pop up on the world map in Google Analytics. People from Pittsburgh, Palermo, Kuala Lumpur, Lyon, Waldshut-Tiengen, ..., all visiting a website I made. Magic! 😃
What do you find magic about releasing something you made?
Getting paid.
Oh yeah. The dots are pure satisfaction... but I have to mention the fact of getting paid.
Somethimg that amazes me really much is the fact of when a user emails you being thankful for making it
I think we sometimes forget what unique circumstances we find ourselves in. For the first time in history can you release something and it's instantly available to billions of people around the world. I think the best thing is the community that forms around something you create. As you point out, people are connected with what you created from places you will probably never visit or in some cases never knew existed. I think that is pretty awesome
It is always about feedback for me.
When I work for weeks without people's reaction, I start to think that my project is worthless.
First reviews are like drops of water in desert. And if they are mostly positive, that is magic :)
