About a week ago I launched Freddy Feedback. There’s many things that the product does differently vs existing comparable products but I’m now looking for pricing feedback, as we do something different there as well.
Next to a monthly subscription we offer a Project Plan.
This means: you get all features that the subscription plan has, but with a more limited amount of responses and you can collect responses for max 2 months. And you only pay once.
We made this option because not everyone wants or needs a subscription. Especially Indie Hackers might want to just collect feedback for 1 or 2 projects without committing to a monthly or yearly plan.
Yes it’s cheaper to subscribe to the monthly plan and then cancel 2 months later, but who really remembers to cancel?
And obviously it’s better for business to have subscriptions, but I think there is more value in providing customers what they want and need and then scale it. And they can get an upsell to the subscription after the project plan ends, so if they liked it they could still concert into recurring revenue.
Curious to hear your thoughts on this, all details of the two plans are on the website.
Hmmm I don’t see the link on mobile so here it is: https://freddyfeedback.com?source=indiehackers
