Lately I’ve been spending a lot of time talking with RevOps people, outbound operators, and founders around GTM workflows.
One pattern keeps showing up repeatedly:
Teams are getting very good at collecting signals before outreach:
intent data
enrichment
scoring
engagement tracking
outbound automation
But once a proposal is actually sent and starts moving internally across the buyer organization, visibility suddenly becomes much weaker.
At that point:
CRM stages become stale
engagement signals become fragmented
sales activity depends heavily on manual follow-up
and different systems often tell completely different stories about account health
The weird part is:
most companies technically already have the data.
The problem seems to be understanding real momentum once deals enter multi-stakeholder workflows.
Curious whether others here have seen similar “visibility gaps” inside their own sales or post-sales processes.
For me, the biggest thing that gets lost after a client call is the reason behind the next step.
It’s easy to write “send offer” or “follow up next week,” but harder to preserve why: budget concern, missing decision maker, technical question, timing issue, etc.
That context matters a lot when the conversation continues later.
