One Year One Productized Service

One year ago I was looking for a new project to start.

By drinking few beers with a friend we realized that there was something going on with AR on mobile devices. It was actually possible to experience AR without having to download any application, and that was for me a revelation. This was happening because of Snapchat first and then Instagram with Facebook.

I started working hard on creating filters on Instagram for my instagram account first (aniongvin). Because, I was lucky to be part of the closed beta at that time.
By being active inside the community and by traveling around to the few events about augmented reality filters that existed at that time, I was lucky to be invited by Facebook to participate in an official hackathon oriented on AR filters. That was a huge event for me and it felt like a reward to be part of the few experts of AR inside social medias.

As I am based in Paris, and also because I wanted to grow a community around AR in social media, I created the first "Paris Augmented Reality Influencers Show" (You can find video of the event on youtube).

I invited some of my friend who are also creating filters to be speakers at the event. We ended up with 8 speakers and 120 people participating at the event that was great ! We are now thinking of a second meetup in 2020.

This market is currently growing very fast and I feel like it is the perfect timing to launch a productized service for filters creation.

That is why with Jordan POIRIER we launched flamingo filter.

At Flamingo Filter decided to create an on demand service allowing our client to order unlimited filters available in Facebook Snapchat and Instagram for a flat month price starting at 399 euros per month.

We do everything except the artistic direction. 3D modelling, graphical animations and filter integration on every available social medias. (Fb, insta, snap maybe soon tiktok). As experts we want to lead our clients towards the success by ensuring them the validation of their filter. Which can be painful for non experienced creators.
