Online Cinema Discussion Group (validation)

Hello folks,

I am new to Indie Hackers and have been thinking about an idea to which I would like to get some of your guys input. It would be great if you guys could tell me:

1. If you believe one person can bootstrap it (I am an experienced developer).
2. If people would pay for it.
3. How I could go about marketing it and having my first customers.

I am a software engineer and have always appreciated discussions about abstract/philosophical and somewhat controversial topics, this means that I am always the guy at the bar who starts talking about the meaning of life and why we are here.

During my tech interview preparations I have used pramp.com a few times and at one point I thought that something similar could be done for other subjects besides interview questions. This is when I had the idea of having something like pramp , where two or more complete strangers would be matched (in video) together to talk about a specific topic that they are interested in, which would be either in philosophy, politics or cinema.

For the sake of keeping it niched and simpler I narrowed it down to cinema lovers, mainly for two reasons:

1. As a movies lover myself, I know how much they like group discussions.
2. It is compatible with the initial idea, which is not about reaching a specific conclusion/solution like in pramp, but instead provide the means for people to simply discuss abstract concepts and personal interpretations.
3. It is easier to moderate and is not broad as philosophy and politics

This means that every week there would be a different movie for which the discussion groups would focus on. The platform would based on the movie of the week provide the subtopics of discussion, as a way to moderate a little the interaction. Such groups would be randomly formed (maybe up to 4 people) and user could discuss on it as long as they want.

My initial thoughts are to have an income from monthly subscription while capping the number of "weekly discussion group meetings" to users in the free plan. I would also expand to other subjects (through hopefully small changes in the software and market expansion) once the MVP is validated.

That is basically it, since so many folks here have a lot of experience I am curious to know what your general thoughts are.
