tl;dr: I'm open sourcing our 1:1 product demo script, and looking for feedback.
Fernand is an opinionated tool that has a ton of custom workflows people might not initially be used to. We worked hard on our self-serve onboarding, but we think a nice way to showcase the nature of the tool is to have 1:1 product demos. We hope that this would build a bit of a closer relationship with leads, learn from their pain points better and hopefully help optimize conversions.
I've designed the demo and onboarding script to help users understand how Fernand works and how they can leverage features like keyboard shortcuts or smart snippets to achieve better productivity. The main idea is to get customers to experience as many "AHA!" moments as possible and move away from all the usual sales BS you hear in those calls.
I've also built the script to pass as much context as possible directly in the document and quickly scale a CS team if needed. I explain the why of the tool, give pointers about our brand voice, and how the call should be conducted. The idea is not to be too prescriptive but rather give enough structure for someone starting with us before they develop their own style.
If you have any feedback or suggestions on how I can improve the demo and onboarding script, I would appreciate it. This Google Docs is opened for comments. Feel free to roast, suggest or steal anything!
