I want to be honest with my users, but in my opinion, using "I" in the copy is a bit too informal, and distracting (it triggers the question "who is behind the I?").
What are your opinions?
I personally wouldn't have any problem with a single person company referring to themselves as "we", though it would be interesting to hear other peoples opinions.
We (founders reading this) can always start off with a 'We' in our copy.
In a 1 person company context, its the creator 'Founder' & the creation 'Company/Product', more ppl get added later, but it always start off with 2 of you 😁
I would go with the we. That's what I use even on single-person projects.
Either should be ok
Each has its own contexts for good and bad
Some marketers like to be different and personal with I as a personal brand.
Many change I to we as a business entity even if it currently has just one person
A company is assumed to be a we. I do think if you make it more personal you'd get a better responses though.
I use "I" everywhere. But I also make it a point to not be too formal anyway. I bet it pushes some people away, but, values fit and everything, might be better that way.
