Optimum frequency for newsletters
Howdy,
There are sites that don't sent any newsletters and I wish they did. On the other hand there are the annoying sites that send multiple a day that I stop using immediately.
Any opinions on what would be a good frequency?

I would say daily or weekly.
Daily if you have time sensitive content like news or a lot of user generated content that is relevant. I got spammed by quora etc with useless content every day so i unsubbed.

If you were your audience, how often would you like to receive emails?
You could also segment your list and survey them if they want daily/weekly/monthly emails, and then give them what they want based on their answers.
You answered your own question there...
Only send emails when they contain information your audience needs/wants to receive.
