Options to create a landing page?

Would be great to know your previous experience.

I built Versoly a SaaS focused landing page builder. I built it after having problems with the current solutions which I will expand on below

Options are

• Hand coded (with CSS framework like bootstrap or tailwindcss) - HTML/CSS
• Free Templates - https://cruip.com, https://webresourcesdepot.com/freebies/
• Paid Templates - https://themeforest.net/ ($15 - $60 one off)
• Landing page builders - https://www.launchaco.com/, https://www.squarespace.com/
• Marketing/Sales based landing page builders - https://www.leadpages.net/ ($80/month), https://unbounce.com/ ($100/month)
• Wordpress and buy themes so you have to spend money hosting them.

The problems with each option

• Hand coded takes a long time and most of the time will have bugs.
• I'm a big fan of them free templates. The only requirement is knowing how to code a little. The creators also can take a while to respond etc due to it being free.
• Free themes are pretty good and landing page builders can be close to the same price as paid templates so unless you want it for Wordpress my advice would be just get a landing page builder.
• Landing page builders are good for non technical people, but also for technical people who don't have design skills. Themes are great but the second you make changes it can ruin the design. The good landing page builders restrict you from making changes or have enough options that they don't want to customise it.
• Unless you already have an account for the Marketing/Sales based landing page builders I wouldn't worry about them.

Personally I needed a boilerplate for developing landing pages, so I built and developed http://thetheme.io/thesaas/ for past years. Now, I just copy/paste blocks to build a landing page.

The idea is to create a landing page (or more) by launching a template and just plugging in your content - images, text, social media, etc. There is no coding knowledge required. The first site is free and we are currently beta-testing so I would to get your feedback if you are willing to try it out!
