Organic growth playbook: what should go in?

I've been growing a SaaS organically for a few years now. I consistently get asked by other indie hackers how they could grow their companies. My response is almost always the same:

You need a system for growth, not a set of tactics.

I believe deeply that growth is about systems rather than hacks. And so I want to show people how to set up that system.

To do that I'm publishing a playbook for people who want to create a system for organic growth for their startup.

Here's what I'm going to cover. Which bits are particularly interesting to you? What do you think is missing?

  • Did you validate this idea?
  • Start with the problem
  • What value are you adding?
  • Establishing a framework for growth
  • Getting your first users
  • Set up a landing page
  • Set up analytics
  • Set up goal tracking
  • Set up a funnel data sheet
  • Leverage communities
  • How to think about intent
  • Write about pain points
  • Create competitor landing pages
  • Run through your onboarding
  • Run a low cost experiment to test your funnel
  • Set up the foundational email campaigns
  • Get personal with your users
  • Assess how you're doing
  • Broaden the funnel with high volume keywords

P.S. I'm planning on publishing this for free and ungated on Positive Hüman. If you want to get notified of new chapters, sign up to the newsletter.
