Organic Traffic vs. Paid: Pros and Cons.

Organic Marketing

Organic marketing is a sort of marketing that does not rely on paid advertising to bring traffic to your website or business.

Organic marketing, also known as inbound marketing, focuses on search engine optimization (SEO) to attract readers to your website via search engine results after focusing on important keywords and themes related to your content.

The contents you develop – blog posts, social media campaigns, e-books, SEO web pages, videos, infographics, and other sorts of content you use to educate, inform, entertain, and engage your target audience are at the heart of your organic marketing approach. Word-of-mouth marketing is also included in organic online marketing.

Paid Marketing

Paid marketing is when a corporation pays a publisher (such as a newspaper, Facebook, or Google) to run advertisements for them.

The advertising is usually targeted at a specific demographic and supports a conversion route. Paid marketing serves the same purpose as organic marketing in attracting visitors (and potential customers) to a business or website.

Making the most of paid marketing, like organic marketing, is more complicated than simply placing an ad. To get the most out of paid social and search advertisements, you need to understand the placement options, bidding procedure, and ad content best practices.

There are a lot of things you need to understand for paid marketing

CAC (Customer acquisition cost)

How much do you spend overall to acquire the customer?

CPC (Cost per click)

How much your ad costing you per unique click.

LTV (Life time value)

How much revenue you are generating from a user when he is active on your platform.

You have to optimize for low CAC and CPC but high LTV.

Benefits of both Paid and Organic Marketing

PAID MARKETING

  • Paid marketing makes it easy to attribute a sale

  • Paid ads offer straightforward ROI measurement

  • Paid marketing is fast and easy to setup

  • You only pay when they click

  • Get maximum control over incoming traffic

ORGANIC MARKETING

  • Organic costs less than paid

  • Organic provides a strong & sustainable marketing foundation

  • Organic content helps build relationships

  • Organic marketing can provide a higher ROI

  • Organic marketing isn’t disruptive

What you should go for?

A well-thought-out plan can yield significant results. When paid advertising and organic marketing are combined, you have a powerful two-pronged strategy for producing quality leads.

However, it is a sensitive procedure. According to one survey, up to 80% of internet searchers will ignore paid adverts in favor of organic results. Furthermore, a search engine like Google, Bing, or Yahoo accounts for around 39% of all e-commerce traffic. Paid adverts account for 4% of the total, while organic content accounts for 35%.

So it all comes to your concern now either to choose Organic traffic or Paid traffic or both.
