Organic vs Paid - where should I invest my energies?

I've been creating a solid community through content strategy, mostly organic.
I am not sure if I should invest my money in creating more content in more spaces or paid ads.
What's your take on that?
My products are mainly around premium content and courses.
FB PPC gave me really bad / expansive results so far.
Of course, all channels work well if set up correctly. Try reading a bit more about targeting paid ads.
However, I find content to be more engaging and efficient way of promotion. Especially if promoted in relevant groups/forums.
I mostly use reddit and quora for promo, and actually brings me quality leads.

If you're getting sales from your organic traffic I don't see why paid ads shouldn't work for you.
The thing to look at in this case is the strategy you use for your ads.
With the ads you ran on Facebook, were you promoting your free course or your paid course?
I tried both.
But the free course give me the worst leads so i'll try to change that strategy
What was the cost per lead?
I think both is the real answer, but it also depends on what stage you are at. You seem to be doing some good organic building as you have mentioned, which you should continue. If you feel your courses are at a good enough product-market fit then you can also consider paid advertising. It is only you who can really know this based on the feedback you've gotten from people taking them already.

Ditto to what @wonderwoman asked—is your primary audience mainly on FB? Are they on other platforms? Have you tested different ad variations?
I tried Linkedin and Reddit PPC .
Linkedin was really complicated and cost a lot of money per lead.
And Reddit was just all over the place.
Whats your target niche? Do they use fb mainly? Tell me more so that i can recommend something
The target audience is career tansitionser (mainly writers) that want to work in tech (twice as their current salaries and a career opportunity to get into a new and exciting field)
