Hi IH fam, we launched our landing page and signups for Midtype today. Quick description: it helps you design and deploy an API with user auth/management built in. We wanted to help hackers build and launch their ideas for a new service/product more quickly.
There's a number of other things we want to integrate into our APIs soon (like payments and marketing), but would love for you to take a look and give us some feedback on whether the use case for a product like this is clear. And if you're looking to bootstrap a new product soon, would love for you to sign up to give it a try!

One thing I always look for when checking out a new SaaS product is the pricing page. Without knowing roughly how much it costs it’s hard to evaluate if it’s worth my time to checkout.
I realize you may still be trying to figure out your pricing model, but don’t forget to add it when you do. (Also these early stages may be a good time to A/B test different pricing models)
We had a pricing page up, and then we were just completely unsure of how to approach it so we took it down. But good point about A/B testing. We'll need to put it back and see maybe test different models to see what gets us the best conversion rate. Thanks, Erik!
@nilkanthjp congrats on your adventure! I would say the following paragraph is a bit confusing to me.
"Building and iterating on new software ideas from scratch is time consuming, even though most SaaS apps leverage the same basic building blocks. We wanted a backend that shipped with everything a SaaS product needs: authentication, payments, access control, price segmentation, easy integrations, and more. So we built Midtype, the best way for anyone to design their own API from scratch and get it running in minutes."
There is research that shows how the first description of your product should take 3 to 4 seconds to read. I think Sam Altman (From Y Combinator) talks about this in the second episode of startup school. Try to convert the idea of your product into one sentence(I know this is hard) and use that below the
Always be shipping.header. If you grab my attention as a user I will continue scrolling down to learn more. There you break the idea into other sections. For example. header: "integrate payments" and a one-two sentence description.Hope this feedback helps! Good luck
Yep, makes total sense. I updated the About page with some more clarifying text at the beginning and trimmed the explanation. Appreciate the feedback, Steven!
Hi Neel,
Midtype looks great! I really like that you went with more pastel colors and one or two strong colors.
Your h5 tag could be larger, I put it at 1.3rem and it looked really good.
Each feature card has the same banner, just with different text. I would keep the "coming soon" banners and remove the banners that are available now. If you were to keep them, I would differentiate the importance because they all blend in. I would assume that each banner is "available now".
Looks really nice.
Amazing! Really appreciate the h5 feedback (and the time you took out to test a new size)! Increasing it to that right now.
And yep, point taken about the banners. I think we'll just remove "available now" since it should be implied if the others have "Coming Soon."
Thanks Casey!
Cool man, I like your docs page. Will this be a drag-n-drop interface for building apis using graphql?
Hey! Yep, that's pretty much it. Others offer similar services, but we're trying to meet the needs of developers building SaaS products. Integrate with Stripe/Mailchimp/etc and we'll expose some queries/mutations in your API that let you leverage those services directly from the frontend.
