Our Product Journey at AppSumo

Here is the story. Back in 2020, my Saas was only 2 years old, it was COVID, people worked from home, our office was closed, and suddenly someone from AppSumo has approached us. Actually, it's not them approaching us. It was me looking at Lemlist and how they had catapulted to the stratosphere with help of Appsumo made me curious. I found an online application form and submitted my interest to be featured as well. I thought if Guillaume Moubeche could do it, why I won't? So I submitted the request and waited.

Interested to know the rest? Like this post so I will come back and finish it.

Nice story—your approach of studying Lemlist + directly applying to AppSumo instead of waiting for permission is exactly how a lot of breakout SaaS growth moments actually happen.

It also highlights a key insight: distribution channels like AppSumo can completely change a SaaS trajectory if timed right, especially during early product-market fit stages.
