Our technical lead had to quit due to illness. Now looking for a technical lead / co-founder for our sales automation SaaS (1k MRR)

We launched Salesloop.io about 18 months ago during the pandemic.

Immediately, we got a boost in sign-ups due to a mention in Techcrunch through our initiative to provide free access to anyone made redundant - to use our SaaS to find their new hiring manager. A reverse sales initiative ;)

It worked well and kick-started our ARR.

Our strategy focused on using our own tool & content to start driving sign-ups and over the last 18 months, that's been pretty successful - with over 1000 trial sign-ups. The problem has been our conversions to paid - initially our tool wasn't stable and we used our early beta customers as testers. Not a terrible idea in hindsight, however, it did lose churn and probably hurt our brand.

Fast forward 12 months and we've employed some unique marketing tactics & a focus on quality content to get to 1k MRR.

And then just as we start motoring, shit hits the fan as my CTO has to step back due to illness.

So here we are.

I've hired a contractor who is managing everything beautifully so far - and looking for a new CTO to step into the fray, ideally someone with an indie-hacker mentality, looking for a project to get stuck into. This is a side hustle for me currently so I'd expect would be similar for any technical lead getting involved.

Our stack is primarily Python back-end, with Spectre CSS front-end - with much of our data captured from 3rd party sources. We started off building on top of Linkedin and now we are looking to add email automation into our tool - so any previous experience with email SaaS tools would be great.

As mentioned, I have a contractor who manages the existing code-base and troubleshoots any issues, however, we have had some churn due to stability issues when the previous CTO had to leave. He's still available for a chat though, just not able to work anymore.

The primary focus is to lead / guide the development effort for the longer term. We've conducted lots of customer validation around a redesign of our web app front-end - to better facilitate omnichannel outreach, include intent data to prioritise which leads to reach out to and edit/ use personalisation variables across the sequences.

If you're game, drop a note to [email protected] and let me know a bit about you / your experience and we can take it from there :)

I've had good luck with the higher end talent agencies for freelance programmers that are Silicon Valley quality but also at the silicon valley pricing but worth every penny if you can afford it.
