Our WordPress membership plugin is now in closed beta - seeking feedback
@ahmedfouad and I have just released our WordPress membership plugin called Member Hero. It's now in closed beta, and we'd like to share it with anyone on IH who might be interested, in exchange for some constructive feedback.

From here you can see the member's directory, click on user profiles and even create your own account if you wish and mess around with the settings. Just remember to delete it when you're done or set your profile to private in the settings if you want to play around awhile longer without other people seeing your profile.
Longer story:
It's especially nice to release it here on IH, because this is where Ahmed and I first met and decided to partner up! :)
Ahmed has been building this plugin for the better part of 2019, and it's the culmination of everything he's learnt building other membership plugins (which he's now sold). On my end, I work on the business, product and marketing side of things, while heading my digital marketing agency in the day.
We both really believe in the plugin and built it with 3 key principles in mind:
- no code necessary for non-developers
- easily extendable for developers
- intuitive for front-end users
Some of the key features of Member Hero include:
- Multiple roles and permissions
- Content restriction
- Member profiles and directories
- Customisable sign up and login forms
The plugin isn't super buggy or in "embarrassing MVP" phase. We wanted to launch with something whole and useable, so it's already powerful enough to work for anyone trying to build a membership site, and we're pretty proud of it :)
We're planning to release a founding members package really soon, which will include:
- the existing plugin and add-ons
- all updates and anew dd-ons for the next 24 months
- priority ticketed support
But for now, we'd just like to give it away in exchange for some super valuable feedback.
