Outreach for Mobile First Sales Teams
People,
I see so many companies in India selling their stuff on whatsapp and calls, and messengers rather than emails. Infact emails are used only to send confirmation receipts.
Outreach.io and other sales engagement platform solve problem of sales via emails primarily and not messages.
How about building a saas product for India and other emerging economies where Whatsapp based business selling is the leading. Edtech companies selling courses, travel companies selling packages, insurance companies, etc fall in this category.
I am looking for co founder for this idea. Any other excited about it?
This is an interesting problem to work on. Have seen a few examples like whatshash.com, intouchapp.com/crm-for-whatsapp, etc but most of them focus on inbound sales. Not sure if a mobile-first crm for field sales teams with a decent market share exists.
Yeah. I see these are just Whatspp based CRMs. They make it simple to use whatsapp at scale.
Outreach added a lot of intelligence to basic Gmail Extensions based selling.
I think the real gold is in deciphering what these sales people are messaging and calling and how are they selling. figuring out whats working and whats not and then making the required templates.
slowly building that intelligence about semi automated selling in India and other such countries and making it super dumb for the sales rep.
agree. Many local sales folks are smart and great at what they do. powering them with a tool that not just speaks their language but provides insights to aid 'the way they move' would be great.
Anything that creates a big learning curve may end up in making them look less smart, which is a crime.
