Outsourcing - Mobile App Design

Hi everyone.

I'm a Flutter developer based in Iceland, currently working full time remotely since march.

I started building apps in Flutter last fall and I have a project that is getting close to being feature complete.

I am however not too happy with the UI. I'd like to spend more time on it, but I also want to get it out there to get feedback.

This summer I'll be working two jobs (developer + fisherman), so I have to spend my time wisely.

I'm interested in outsourcing the design work. Does anyone have experience with this approach ?

I'd appreciate your recommendations ! :)

I found the designer at Behance. The cons are you could see the portfolio of their works and there are tons of them. But many designers there are quite expensive so you should spend some time searching for the best one for your project.

There's a great benefit doing UX by yourself esp. in the beginning as it'll provide you with a fantastic insight into the product.

If you generally struggle with UI & UX, I'd recommend checking out https://refactoringui.com/ (generally a great resource) & https://material.io/ (since you're on Flutter).

I agree. I have done all of the design work so far and I've really enjoyed it :)
