Paid building in public - thoughts?
Hello everyone,
What do you think about building in public behind a pay wall like patreon?
This past year i have decided to quit my teaching classes, focus on my marketing agency (feel free to reach out if you need anything) and my next step is to launch a website in Israel (so Hebrew, not English) and focus on teaching about entrepreneurship, marketing and self growth.
I believe we can do better, together, teach and educate. Currently all content here is a top of the funnel meant to sell u something.
I want to tell my story, the journey from idea to process and if we can be number one.
Building in public in English, videos telling everything, was thinking of building a Patreon community around this project, sharing my knowledge in marketing and sales (We work with many SAAS companies all over the world, some really big) and have scaled our ARR 10X in the last 2years.
Any thoughts or ideas would be highly appreciated
Isn't the marketing and SEO more valuable than whatever donations you can get through Patreon?
What a great comment, sorry i missed it. well, i am thinking of building in public in English but the content itself in another language. not sure it will serve the SEO purpose. do you still think it's good to do it open content?

I think you might want to build in public in both languages. In English might give you more traffic from the build-in-public community, and in your target language for your target customer base for whom build-in-public might be a novel idea.
If that ends up being too much work, I would drop the English one. Focus on the customers you want to get.
