Palettt – Super smart color palette generator for designers and developers
I built Palettt because I was frustrated with how limited and repetitive most color palette tools felt. As a developer and designer, I wanted a smarter, faster, and more creative way to generate beautiful color palettes, something that didn’t just rely on random colors but understood harmony, mood, and contrast.
Palettt is a color generation platform that helps you:
Generate palettes algorithmically using HSL harmony rules (not just random hexes)
Lock colors you like, and let the app build matching ones automatically
Upload images to extract aesthetic color palettes
AI-powered suggestions (e.g., “calm”, “vintage”, “neon”)
Save, explore, and export palettes to CSS, Tailwind, SCSS, or PNG
Browse a public gallery of palettes from other creators
Visualize your palettes with real life designs.
I built this using Next.js, Prisma, Tailwind, and a custom color engine I wrote from scratch. The goal is to make Palettt not just a color picker, but a color creativity tool for both designers and developers.
