I also think there's still room for another solution that helps to meet new people. But how is your idea different than MeetUp, Facebook Groups or even CouchSurfing (that also allows you to create events)?

I have one question about the problem (since I fit quite nicely on the profile): Have you validated the idea? Because it seems to me that people with personalities have a hard time getting along. The pattern that I see is that every group has somebody that assumes a character on the group (like an RPG, you have a wizzard, a warrior and an archer).

You raise a good point and it is true to an extent. But my focus here is to draw people to do activities/events. Meeting people comes as a side effect. It may happen more often than not, that the personality dynamics are ideal, but that is not something I'm solving for. As long as you find the acctivities interesting, people will find a way to gel through and bond :)
