Patience or Hustle

I released my little site to some positive reviews in the communities I shared it with (a few book-related subreddits) - my question now is what the next step is...
Do I keep trying to get it more exposure in other communities or is it best to let it spread organically.
Looks good man. I just shared the link with my GF who is a prolific goodreads user and she’s loving it, especially the about page. She reckons you should include published year in the trending section.
I’m about to launch my own project on Reddit this week so I’m keen to see how it goes for you.
As an easy marketing idea, maybe you can automate tweets by posting new books as they’re added, or some other form of condensed content.

And love the idea on automating tweets, though I’ll need to find an actual value-add thing to tweet out rather than just spamming people... that might end up being a longer project...
Hard to say without more insight, but I guess as with all indie hacking type things, you have to play the long game.
Don't expect traction overnight, continue promotion when and where you can as and when you have interesting things to share.
Yea that sounds completely reasonable - pushing anything too hard comes off as unauthentic, even if I feel like I’m just sharing a useful tool.
Understanding that nothing markets itself completely, I do have to hope that the viewers that keep coming back will eventually share it with their friends. Given that the site is less content and more product, if the product isn’t providing value then so it goes...
I think the other comments have hit the nail on the head. I wouldn’t use the word hustle. It’s more of a long game or a marathon. Just keep running at your own pace. As long as you keep putting one foot in front of the other, you’ll get to where you want to go. Find a consistent pace for yourself and don’t burn out!
I guess for the initial week, you would have to keep on promoting it. Marketing is a forever game until it gets easier.
Let's say you launched it a week ago, Keep doing the marketing towards your audience. After some time, from the analytics you can analyse how good your launch is performing and hopefully, choose an answer to your question.

I think I’ll give it a bit of time before sharing it with others? Would rather not come off as unauthentic, and in my current situation I’m not in any rush for this to succeed (though I’d love it to)
