My first time posting on Indie Hackers!
I wrote "Patio11's Law: The software economy is bigger than you think" and it is currently the #1 post on HN. I thought the Indie Hacker community would enjoy it as well.
My business partner and I having been growing a bootstrapped remote software business, Bottle, for 4 years. The idea of boundless software opportunity is exciting to us.
It's easy to forgot how big the addressable market is on the internet. There's a lot of green space out there to build for!
Great post :)
it really is. somebody commented on HN that these businesses that operate in the shadows are often called "dark matter businesses." i like that.
appreciate it!
Congratulations on the #1 on HN! This is very interesting. I was kind of just discussing this "huge company acquisition not on TechCrunch" thing with my business partner yesterday. Very interesting.
so many hidden gems out there in the world
Hahaha I love the disclaimer if patrik mckenzie not make this law😂
once it got attention, he was generous enough to email about it! but yes clarified that it wasn't him.
also, whenever Patio11's Law is written for good, i think the community will vote for something like:
"Patio11's Law: The prices you should charge are higher than you think they should be, even when taking into account Patio11's Law"
Hahaha lol😂
