PatioPlanner is out now

Just launched PatioPlanner (www.patioplanner.app), a free browser tool for planning paved surfaces.

Draw your actual surface shape, pick a paving pattern (herringbone, running bond, basket weave, or build your own), and get the exact count of full stones, cut stones, and waste. Print the shopping list or share it as an image.

An optimizer sweeps joint widths and area dimensions to find the combination with the fewest cuts. Sometimes 2mm more gap means zero cuts at the edge.

Once you're outside, a step-by-step laying guide on your phone shows you one brick at a time. Voice control and wave detection so you can advance without touching the screen with dirty hands.

No backend, no accounts, no tracking. Runs entirely in the browser, works offline as a PWA. Built with Astro and React.
