I built PDFly because every PDF tool I tried (iLovePDF, SmallPDF, Adobe) uploads your files to US servers under the Cloud Act. As a European, I wanted a privacy-first alternative.

PDFly has 26 tools. The 12 most-used (merge, split, compress, rotate, watermark, JPG↔PDF...) run 100% in your browser via WebAssembly — your files literally never touch our servers.

Premium €4,99/mo (vs $7-19 for competitors) unlocks server-side OCR, e-signature, PDF→Word, batch processing. Hosted in Germany, GDPR by design, no tracking.

Stack: Next.js 15, pdf-lib + WASM, Stripe, hosted on a single VPS in Frankfurt.
