A couple of months ago I did a survey here on IndieHackers about content marketing challenges. Here were some of the answers:
"It's hard to come up with content ideas related to our target
audience."
"I don't know what works/doesn't work and why."
"I'm tired of constantly having to brainstorm new content."
The results were pretty definitive: content ideation is hard. But if you've done the work of creating buyer personas and you have a general idea of what people are looking for and needing when they find you, you actually have a lot to go on.
Founders wear a lot of hats, so I wanted to make something to make this part of the job a little easier: a free planning tool called the Persona Content Map for B2B SaaS. It's a Google spreadsheet and a PDF with instructions -- because I don't even 'no code', let alone code 😜 -- that can help you come up with about a quarter's worth of content (ideas, topics, channels, formats, etc.) in just a couple hours or so.
Hope it helps!
