Personal Fitness Tracking Web-App Feedback Wanted.

Don't like your tagline.
"Manage and monitor your fitness progress with all of what you need and none of what you don't."
What is what I need? How do you know what I don't need?
How is this for? Kanban board and github contribution like tracker seem to target programmers hackers etc. If that is so, make that very clear. Good luck!
Thanks for the feedback. I agree. The tag line does need work. As they say; done is better than perfect.
The app is geared toward intermediate/advanced lifters. People who have been lifting for more than 2 years. They know their way around a barbell and don't need instructions or any of the hand-holding featured in other apps.
Workout programs for beginners are configured for linear periodization. They typically revolve around 4 - 6 compound movements to target multiple muscle groups at once. For example a popular beginner program is StrongLifts 5x5. It's a 3 day a week program that revolves around 5 exercises spread across 2 sessions (A/B/A, or B/A/B). Linear Periodized programs are designed for you to add a small amount of weight to the bar after each session.
Overtime that sort of progress and growth will eventually come to a crawl and the lifter will reach what is called a plateau. (There are other possible reasons for a plateau but for the sake of simplicity let's assume a perfect diet and sleep schedule). This marks the end of the 'noob-phase'. One cannot add 10lbs every week to a barbell to get from 315 to 405.
At this point the lifter must plan their workouts in 4 to 6 week increments. For perspective, Olympic athletes can have programs that go out as far as 6 months to a year. The kanban editor in this app will allow you to CRUD and compare your fitness programs by the week, instead of by the day.
The kanban board is a wonderful project management tool and is used across a wide variety of industries. It's very effective and easy to use. I think it would be of great value to the fitness community as a whole. The same can be said about the heat-map. The heat map doesn't track contributions but instead tracks the lifters consistency and total lifted volume at a glance. They are considered the most important data points to an intermediate/advanced lifter.
Yes beginners can benefit from the app. But they aren't my target audience. This is because beginners typically follow the advice of those more experienced.
Anyway, I appreciate your input. I will add this explanation in a more digestible format to the landing page.
Thanks a ton.
Love the amount of thought put into it. I would make it clear who the audience is for. Nice work.
Hello, I've just created an account to try it.
When I tried to create an account, I went to a page with button to send a verification code to the email. If I give you my email, I would expect the app to directly send me the verification link (not to have to press another button).
Also, the email went directly to the spam folder (not sure why), perhaps is the fact that the link you send for verification does not point to the same domain the email is coming from ? For me is weird that I confirm going to a https://just-fitness-d07f0.firebaseapp.com/ domain, and then I get redirected to the app page, and then I have to login. I mean, just confirming in your main domain url would look a little better (not that is bad, I am just giving feedback of possible improvements). What would be even smoother would be that when I click the confirmation link I am automatically logged in.
On the other side, I must say that I like how the landing page looks. Is nice, and makes me want to try it.
I will use if for a few days, even I am not going to the gym (will try to put some things that I can do at home).
Hope I haven't been to harsh :)
Not harsh at all.
You're right, registration can be a bit easier. Thanks for registering. Let me know about your experience with the app. Did you register from your phone or computer?
I registered from a computer (in a vertical screen). I haven't tried much yet, because at the moment I felt some friction at starting adding all the exercises. I think is a good idea to allow the users to put whatever they want, but it would be nice to provide a "catalog" of exercises, so I can pick from them to create my own routine.
Clean and neat UI. Keep going.
Hi @supremeabraxas,
You have a simple tagline that explains what you do. You have a nice dashboard view.
Is this all manual input or do you also integrate with Apple watch or Apple Health app ?
All the best.
All manual input.
No integration just yet. I think I'll wait for paying customers to ask for it since I personally don't have a need for such features.
