Personalized illustrations – custom headless e-commerce solution we plan to launch soon. I need your opinion!

My GF is an illustrator and she has recently started to sell her own works on Instagram. It went surprisingly good so as we had some free time during the Holiday/January period I decided to make her an online store where people can order her works. One thing we came up with during this process was a new product – personalized (when it comes to colours) wall posters ("Blank").

The store/app is hosted on the free Heroku dyno so give it a 30s to load. I'm trying to save as much on this as possible to see how much money do we actually need to launch a store.

There are still few minor bugs/typos to fix here and there but the main questions are

  1. Is it clear to you what we are trying to offer?
  2. How's the landing page design
  3. How's the whole experience?

Cheers!

PS We'll be launching in Poland (where we live) and I've translated this website into English only to post it here for you to be the judges, hence the typos and not very well-thought copy. This is also why you see the Polish version of the site blinking at the very beginning.

    Interesting concept!

1.) It wasn't actually immediately clear to me what you are trying to offer. It took a little while of thinking about the idea for it to sink in. As someone who is not confident in my own interior decorating skills, I wonder if a killer feature would be something where users can take a picture of the room/space (so your GF can see the color scheme firsthand) and then design something?

2.) The landing page design is pretty clean and I like it, but it feels like it's missing more explanation of what you're offering and how cool it is.

3.) I think if you improved the explanation of what you are offering and make it clearer right when I land on the site, I'd say the whole experience would be better. All in all, clean design and nice look--but it just needs a little more explanation of what you're actually doing for a customer and how it works.

    Hope this helps!

Thanks for your feedback! The stuff you said about the landing page is something that I felt as well. I'm going to work on this tomorrow to improve and make it a bit more appealing to people.

When it comes to posting a picture of a room – we thought about handling the colours by ourselves based on a photo and an algorithm. Right now my GF is offering only personalized illustrations – that's something that takes a lot of work and client contact and is a bit too small (when it comes to revenue/profit) for her to quit the regular job. That's why we thought about something personalized that can be made "automagically" online.

I like the idea you proposed about uploading a photo. Maybe the user could upload a photo of the room and see a preview. It would not look as pretty as in augmented reality apps but still could give the customer a feeling if it's good or bad.

Once again – thanks a lot for your input and please upvote the question if you feel like it deserves a bit more attention here :)
