I ended up pivoting shobot.io from product to service. We only offer a single service at a set price, so I didn't think it needed too much other info. For reference, our price point is relatively cheap.
What do you think? Is it too minimal? Is it clear what we're offering?
I'm intending for the primary acquisition channel to be Google Search ads.
It might be useful to include a screenshot/image of what the product looks like. You say I get an email, what does that email look like? A visualization of the transcripts you provide can help validate that this is a real thing and give me an idea of what to expect.
On mobile your page has a huge audiowave image that takes too much space, always remember to check out a page both in mobile and desktop view!
Other than that, do you have customer testimonials you can put somewhere in the landing page, or company logos?
Thanks for taking a look!!!
Yeah, the image is a good callout - need to resize that for mobile.
No, I just launched yesterday, and I don't have customers yet. Hopefully I'll have some testimonials soon!
Hey Shobhit! I'm curious as to why you decided to pivot? Was it difficult to build the product or something else? As for the website, it looks pretty clear to me what your company does.
Hey! Thanks for taking a look. I had originally built it as a Saas in the meeting transcription space, but the unit economics ended up not making sense + there were already multiple VC-backed startups in the space.
So I’m recycling the technology I already built and using it to cheaply provide a transcription service.
Ohh got it, yeah it's a good idea to pivot if the unit economics aren't in your favor, bit did you try marketing to a specific niche? Something like high quality transcription for doctors or something else.
Yeah, I was looking at b2b Saas companies before I pivoted. High quality transcription is what I'm working on providing now, and hoping to start with media and podcast companies as an initial niche.
