Plan work, track time, manage availability and understand team capacity in one shared workspace

FlowGrid is an independent software product built to help growing businesses coordinate projects, workloads and team availability without the complexity of enterprise tools.

Why I Built FlowGrid

Throughout my career I've worked with growing teams in design, marketing and software projects. No matter the industry, I kept running into the same problem.

Simple questions often required checking several different tools. Who has capacity next week? Are we spending more time than we planned? Which projects need attention? Existing software either focused on only one part of the process or tried to solve every possible business problem.

I wanted something simpler. A single workspace where teams could plan work, track time, manage availability and understand their workload without switching between different tools or being overwhelmed by unnecessary features.

Since I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for, I decided to build it.

My Vision

Many teams don't need hundreds of features, lengthy onboarding or expensive enterprise subscriptions. They need clarity. They need to know who's available, how projects are progressing and whether the workload is sustainable.

Every feature in FlowGrid exists because it solves a real planning problem. My goal isn't to build the biggest project management platform. It's to build one of the most practical tools for collaborative teams.

Built Together With Users

FlowGrid is still growing, and so is the community around it.

I regularly listen to feedback from business owners, designers, developers, agencies and consultants. Their suggestions influence the roadmap and many of the features already available today.

If something doesn't fit your workflow, I'd genuinely love to hear about it. Some of the best ideas come from real users solving real problems.

A Small Business Supporting Small Businesses

FlowGrid isn't backed by a large corporation or venture capital. It's built by an independent founder for businesses very much like my own.

When you choose FlowGrid, you're supporting a small business that believes software can stay focused, affordable and efficient. Your subscription allows me to continue improving the product, responding to feedback and building features that matter.

I think it started with a small team I worked in. There were only five of us, but we still used Jira to manage projects, Trello to keep a simpler overview of the work, and Excel to track hours.

I remember how difficult it was to answer really basic questions like Who's busy? Are we on track? Can we take on another project? We were missing one place that gave everyone a clear picture of what was going on.

That experience made me realise the real problem was how fragmented everything had become, even for a very small team. At the same time, I found that more advanced all-in-one tools like Jira often made simple day-to-day planning feel more complicated than it needed to be. I wanted something that brought everything together without overwhelming people with features.

I'm curious what made you conclude the core problem was fragmented planning rather than project management itself.

Was there a moment where you realized teams weren't missing features—they were missing a single place to answer everyday operational questions?
