Hi IH,
I need some validation on something that's already been validated. Talk about no self-confidence.
A while ago I built a tool that would scrape a web page for content and use an algorithm to find the most relevant keywords on a website. It seemed to flop because it wasn't clear how to use the information. (See screenshot)
I want to repurpose it into a writing tool. The tool would take you through the writing process.
- Plan article topic, content length and possibly assign to a writer
- Add URLs on similar topics and get back summaries, content lengths, and keywords.
- Take notes and bullet point out your own content based on research
- Write the content based off the notes
- Get writing feedback, SEO grading, and possibly flag for editorial review
It lives in a similar vein as Clearscope, Topic, Storychief(@william_the_sloth & @brik_dm), Yoast or SEMrush SEO writing assistant.
The problem it solves
- Other tools are too expensive (Clearscope $350/mo, Topic $200/mo)
- Other tools lack real SEO value for a content writer (Yoast)
- Other tools don't integrate well into the writing process (SEMrush)
- Other tools solve other problems (StoryChief solves for distribution)
Validation
- Would you want to streamline your writing process?
- Do you ever write rich content with markdown?
- Do you wish your writing tool had any extra cool features?
- Is it hard managing a writing team?
My Problems
- Google docs integration is out of the question
- I don't know if this is something only I want
Thank you if you took the time to read all of that and an extra thank you for your responses!
