Does anyone have any experience about fundraising? I'm collecting a team for my startup and planning to raise money. This is quite time consuming so I would like to get some angel funding for that time.
Have you sent any cold emails? Has it worked?
Here is my teaser.
i agree with the idea of fundraising is full time job, good luck:)
Thank you!
Great that you’re planning early for fundraising, Lea! 🚀
From what I’ve seen, traction beats cold outreach every time — investors reply when they see momentum.
If you do send cold emails, keep them short:
1 line on what you’re building,
1 on traction or validation,
1 on why it matters now.
Simple, focused messages work best. Wishing you good luck with the raise! 👏
Thank you for your advice!
cold emails can work if they’re super personal and clear about the value. took me a few tries to get replies, but once I refined my pitch, it helped.
Thank you!
Speaking from experience, do you have a product solution with a good story to tell on how it solves a problem? Do you know your growth plans? Do you have a solid team in place to ensure investors feel confident that have a real opportunity to get a strong ROI?
If so, then really hone in on which investors you would like to target. The last thing you want is to take money for the sake of taking money and having a really poor investor who provides no additional value and connections. So, from my experience, get everything ready within the team, which investor(s) to target and then go ALL IN!
Good luck
Thank you for the advice!
Fundraising is a full time job. Cold email to angels absolutely works if its done right. The plan is a targeted list of investors in your space and a multi-step sequence that adds value before the ask. A B2B SaaS founder used this exact playbook to close their $1.2M seed round this way :) prospectai.dev
