Platform featuring peer-to-peer feedback on generic skill-set

Hi all!
I actually work in hospitality but I have a passion for learning (anything goes!). I'm thinking of creating a platform to crowdsource quick feedback and advice on how to improve.

I'm completely new to online communities, I'd love to hear some of your views on such platform - would it work? What are the pitfalls?
I've come across StackExchange but that's quite developer orientated, whereas my plans are for a more generic skill-set. "Learning to draw? Show us what you have and we can tell you what we think."
