Platform for raving scene
At first I thought of an app that lets you find people to go to raves but realised there is more potential. By raves I mean any kind of electronic music gigs, concerts or festivals. Here in the UK and in Europe in general it is quite big.
The platform would allow people to discover new artists, events and generally socialise about the scene. People can post their pictures of their favourite moments from raves or find people to go raves with, small artists can share their music to help them grow their audience and event organises can post about their events to reach greater audience.
It short, it's instagram, soundcloud, meetup and skiddle(which is an online ticket outlet) combined together for raving scene.
I am not sure if this is too much to have in one platform and would love to have some feedback.

okay, a bunch of thoughts.
first things first, and this is a really fundamental question when validating a new idea. you should be trying to find the answer to "what problem am i solving?" rather than "what product am i trying to build?"
if you know the problem you're solving, then it'll be a lot easier to figure out what features to build, where to start etc.
so, how do you figure out what problem you're solving (and if people actually have that problem)? the easiest way is if you have the problem yourself. another good way is to talk to people in the raving scene, and figure out if they have a problem you can solve.
it sounds like you have a guess at a problem: "people have trouble finding raves, music gigs, concerts, and festivals." talk to people, and find out if this is a real problem! ask them how they solve it currently, and if there's anything that's not satisfying or complete about the available options for finding events. that should be a good starting place :)
for some tips on how to talk to users, just google "user interviews" and you'll get some good resources.
also, once you're done with that, and assuming you find a problem, you'll want to think about an MVP.
I did have the same problem which was not having people to go with and I could not find any apps or websites which would allow me to find people to go to these events. I am not sure how to interview this audience as it is probably not the best idea to ask questions at the event itself. But how else would you reach this audience?

do you have friends who are in the scene? if so, maybe start with them? otherwise, maybe see if you can connect with some fellow ravers on instagram or something and hit them up later? doesn't seem like a super hard thing to do if you're sufficiently motivated :)
10-15 years ago something like this would have been awesome, but it would have been difficult to get traction back then because ravers were typically heavily integrated into online forums which did much of what you're suggesting.
I haven't been involved in the rave scene for a long time, but I imagine these days most people use Facebook for event discovery, posting photos etc and that's going to be an even bigger challenge to pull people away from.
Your chances of monetising this are slim as well, ticketing is a nasty business model and heavily competitive.
The raving scene is gaining popularity, in the UK at least. Maybe not the underground illegal type of events but just the electronic raving music in general.
I want to target younger audience around 18-25 which I think does not use Facebook much.
Also, I don't want the platform to handle the ticketing process but instead redirect the user where they can buy it.
Functionality-wise on paper it sounds good, but I just don’t know man. When you said raves I thought you meant like actual illegal or squat raves. What you’re describing is more just a platform for people who like electronic music, which could be great if you yourself are passionate about electronic music.
I know plenty of people aged 18-25 or older and they all got their fav spots and clubs and they never look for people to go with either tbh. Like I just can’t realistically imagine some gribbly dude in Sheffield looking for where the next Bassline rave will be held, because he just knows what club he has to show up and at what day of the week.
I understand what you mean but sometimes people including myself don't have friends who like this type of music and it could be hard to find people to go with especially if the event is not in you home town.
Plus I feel like a lot of time people go not just because of genre but to see a specific artist. This might be outside of their town or city and they might not necessarily have people who would be willing to travel with them to the event.
Also a lot of the events are scattered around different platforms like skiddle or ticketmaster. People might not necessarily know about the event happening just because it there are so many platforms. My platform would bring it all together and not necessarily allow you to buy the ticket but to let you know where to buy it.
This sounds alot like Resident Advisor, but to be honest every idea has been done before. It's about doing it the best.
This is why Friendster predates MySpace and then Facebook.
If you could add more discovery features, as in suggestions on what music I like, you might have something on your hands.

I like the discovery features, as I feel that it is sometimes hard for people to discover new music in this genre.
I was thinking of this to be more an mobile app than a website but a website would definitely be useful too.
People don't want to be forced to download an app. IMO . I'd prefer this to be a site with an option to download the app version. With react you can sorta develop both at once
