please help me validate peer groups

I have been going back and forth on what to build on peergroups .com for years now. My latest thinking was to build something along the lines of meetup but for more structured peer group creation, management and discovery. Small groups with aligned goals could be created with structure like regular checkins, meeting scheduling and chat. Perhaps paid groups could be hosted by experts?

I would love to hear what the IH community thinks about this and even if someone has a better idea for this domain? Thanks.
